No doubt in India in each and every sector we can see women, and they also are proud Indians. But, why India's first ladies are yet to make a mark?
Here is the list of India's first lady from 1947- 2017.
Rajvanshi Devi, Shahjehan Begum, Saraswati Bai, Pushpa Shah, Begum Abida Ahmed, Shrimati Sangamma, Neelam Nagaratnamma, Pradhan Kaur,
Janki Venkataraman, Vimla Sharma, Usha Narayanan, Suvra Mukherjee and now Savita Kovind.
India's first lady is not restricted up to just attend the Republic day program and to greet the guest. Their duty is far beyond.
Melania Trump the first lady of the United States. She dabbles in each and every sector. She is now alarming the people to stop drug abuse. She hosts a dinner in White House, visited army persons, also participated in awareness of breast cancer, and much more.
We are living in the 21st century and now we are more focusing on changing our mindset, than, Why not this?
Our excellency Savita Kovind je should have to participate in the public meeting, she should interact with the people of India, to know them well. This is the time to have a change, we the people of India desperately need this. It is said that whatever we see in our surroundings, we follow the same.
So if she participates in public meetings it enhances a great power to the people. This also adds a new chapter to the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Social media is the best platform to interact with many people. It's very sad that sometimes we have to google the name of the first lady from 1947 to till date. Hardly anyone knows about the work of former first ladies. The world has an eye on the woman empowerment even India is participating in this campaign with its heart and soul.
When two people join their hands in the same work then it obvious that they reach their goal very easily.
Turning points, the book written by our former president Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, he mentioned all his works and experiences. So, I can imagine how much effort it needs to do the duty. If it gets the extra hand of our first lady than it becomes easier. He also mentioned about the regular letters and emails and it's not easy to go through each letter, but in spite of this, he did his best.
Interacting with the people of the country is the best way to know them well, and also to find solutions to their problems.
Rashtrapati addresses the nation on the day before Independence Day and on Republic day. The speeches which delivered are broadly based on the nation's development and require many resources to prepare it. Our first lady can also help in the speech resources through her work. Our president visits a lot of places not even in India but also out of India. Then why not our first lady. If she engages in any social work than it is a big step in the development of India.
