No one is right, and no one is wrong. I heard somewhere that there are no such things as good decisions and bad decisions. It's all about choices and the consequences that follow. Qala is something like that.
The 2 hours long movie will not bother you, the music and background and the slow dialogue delivery will calm you.
The costume design is impressive. Whether you are eyeing on Himachali dress or the Calcutta attire everything is beautifully placed. I personally loved the silver jewelry. The delicately crafted Mathapati, Nath, rings, necklace, and bangles all are telling their own story.
The transition of dresses when it comes to the city is done beautifully.
The fluid nature of gender.
The cinematography is something that needs to be talked about. Showing moments without explaining is something that I used to talk to my brother. Happy that it's coming true.
Music is icing. The lyrics, the tunes... ok I am not good at this I know.
One very special element is there "BUTTERFLY". You can easily find butterflies in the movies. The earrings, the brooch, and the detail on the saree all depicted butterflies. At last, there goes a lyric that says let's not kill the bird, let's keep it in a cage and bring home.
