There are 25 crore students out of the school due to this COVID-19. ( According to The Hindu). Not everyone is getting their regular classes and most of them are facing some network issues, so even at this time, I am grateful that I have asses to a good internet connection and our college is conducting online classes so our study does not hamper.
New technology has some issue also
For students
- This is for the very first time I have completely switched to the online system. So spending lots of time on the screen is a worry.
- An online study network is never gonna replace the peaceful world of the library.
- In the past going through the expression of the student's teachers use to understand what's going wrong (like we are understanding their points or not), but now they can't see us (in our class) its difficult for them and a big worry for us as we have to alert and ask questions as it becomes the sole responsibility.
- Discussion time gets lower.
- Sometimes lack interest in the classes.
- No eye to eye contact reducing the interest in the topic.
- Studying in front of the family members is also a micro problem as they have asses to what we are doing and how we use to interact with the teachers.😄
- The network issue is the new reason for absent.
- Getting used to technology. They are also learning.
- Creating PowerPoint presentations.
- Having a track on the students. Either they are studying or not in the class.
- Scolding students (a boon for us).
- And the common one is the network issue.
Quality of study
It totally depends on the teachers and the students. Their interest will define this. But no denying the fact that this LMS can't beat the chalk and the blackboard (for me at least).
(Hope you all are doing well).😊
