With the increasing population of India, unemployment is also increasing. Around 77% of families have no regular wage earner and more than 67% have income less than 10,000 a month. According to UN labor report unemployment in India is projected to witness a marginal increase between 2017 and 2018, signaling stagnation in job creation in the country. Unemployment in India is projected to increase from 17.7 million last year to 17.8 million in 2017 and 18 million next year. However, the report also acknowledges that Indias 7.6 % growth in 2016 helped southern Asia achieve 6.8 % growth this year.
Educational unemployment is also rising. This is the reason that educated people with a higher degree are applying for the job of a peon. Over 30% of youth aged 15- 29 in India are not in employment, education, or training (NEETs). NEETs include all youth left outside paid employment and formal education and training system.
There are many reasons that give rise to unemployment:-
(a) Skill- The companies which are hiring the people on the basis of their skill and knowledge, they don't have to do with their board marks. Many people have degrees, no doubt, but they lack skill. So better one gets the job.
(b)Migration - It's a very common reason for creating unemployment. For earning, people fly from one place to another and even from one country to another.
(c) Imagination - Each and every sector want to establish their foot very tightly, and for that, they have to imagine more and more, about new plans, and new schemes that shed a powerful shadow on their customers.
(d) Population - More or less this is also a reason. If you want to survive then you have to struggle more and more.
some educated people left their 1st job in the hope that will get another job which will pay me more. Some even don't want to work under someone.
In my village, once I asked a lady that, you have 4 children, so isn't it difficult for you to feed all your children? she replied that no, I am lucky to have 4 sons, more the child more they work and more I get wages.
For people who are living under adverse conditions, they don't have jobs, and even they don't waste their time by finding some sophisticated job. They start their work as laborers. So, that lady's response is also appreciatable, when we look at the second phase.
Our prime minister has said that this is the time when we have to focus on job creation. Without any doubt it's an amazing idea but, for job creation even, skill is required. Only those people can create a job whose mind is full of great plans and ideas, who think more and more. It's not easy. Still, the present government has to keep its promise to provide jobs. This is one of the obstacles in front of the center and I hope that they will work on it.
When more people start working than it adds more power to our country.
