The New Normal

We are heading towards the north as far as the corona is concerned and we are also heading towards a new normal

I'm just trying to get back to normal life: Chris Kyle

There are a few of the things which are going to be new normal.

                       CLEANNESS
Our focus will be on not letting the dust rest. Knocking the door of history we came to know that one of the reasons for the fall of the Indus Valley Civilization is lack of sanitation. I do not remember that my mother and I have ever cleaned the vegetables just after buying, but now it's new normal. The floor is on the bathing mode every Sunday.

                                  COVER UP
Masks, They are going to be the new accessory. The cloth that we have used before COVID for the protection from bad air, now we are using it in the cleaner and breathable air.

                           BLOWN BY AIR
No more birthdays, anniversaries or any celebration cakes blew by the air obviously from the mouth.

        SAYING HELLO WITH A DISTANCE
This is definitely not going to create the condition like untouchability that is in people's mind right now. This is just an awareness that should be taken seriously.  We can have a conversation on chai but maintaining the proper distance.

                 TRAVEL WITHOUT AC
Lack of Ac is going to push the people on the verge of their thinking to opt for private vehicles for longer distances.

                         BACK TO WORK
The people who are in their homes right now after a big struggle and many are on their way. They will not be ok to be back in the city where they have worked. The aim will be to find out the jobs in the nearby city and villages.

                                    FOOD
Standing in a corner of a road and enjoying panipuri is now a dream. That's not easily going to be a part of our life. Yes, with the proper hygiene it can. But that will take time.

Hope to see the same calm in nature and in people's lives that they have shown in these months.

TALE OF MIGRANTS

Home is not a place...
It's a feeling

The Covid-19 is in full blossom as recently we have crossed 1 lakh mark. The very disheartening thing at this time is the condition of the migrants.
From not having anything to eat to the hope of reaching their home, they are the worst hit.

On March 24 our  Prime Minister has announced the lockdown, and right now we are in the lockdown 4.0. From the first day of the lockdown to date there comes the many changes in our behavior. From being panic to finding peace and the enormous amount of creative ideas that we are hunting in ourselves. Not too bad conditions for ourselves as they are for the migrants.

As per the 2011 census, there are 56 million migrants in India. They are the people who travel from one state to another in search of their livelihood. When the lockdown announced and everything gets shut, they are left with no choices but to wait. With a little bit of saving in their hand, they are coping with the situation.

There are many who started to walk towards their home by no means of transport, some of them couldn't make it. Now the situation in which they want to be home is just to be safe. This is time there are not working anywhere and not earning so back home is one such idea which is way more comfortable than standing in the city which is no more their own. One of the things is that they want to be with their family in this crucial time and having a thought that if they will be home they have not to worry about the food. A kind of satisfaction also is triggering the flow which is ok.

Now the government is providing the trains and buses for the migrants, but the one thing which comes in a spotlight that many of the migrants are not taking the shramik trains because they don't want to be quarantined for14 days which is one of the biggest hurdle in the way of their family. This is also the reason that they are tracking the loopholes to get home just because they do not want to get caught by cops.
Many of the migrants lose their lives in truck accidents and one of the reasons is the long hour of the driving on the road as they want to get home as fast as they can.

Plants

To plant a garden is to belive in tomorrow
AUDREY HEPBURN

Plants teache you the best things in the life like patience, growing without competition, being successful with each and every single plant without envy.

They are super cool creation. They laugh through their flowers and wave with their branches. They are not judgemental. They dont look at the cactus and say 'go to salon and have a make over'. They really appreciate each other, and even appreciate cactus.

A full grown up plant doesn't demoralize the newer one just sitting next to them. They don't hamper their growth and not even burn themselves by seeing the little one growing.

They really don't compare themselves not even their parents told them to be like someone else. They grow in their own way happily.

They don't put the loudspeaker on and announce that hey, listen we are having a big occasion in our house, they just simply dazzle from their flowers and little water drouplets on their leaves.

They grow silently.

What Really Matters

As a human being or as a social animal we have stretched each and everything to their fullest for our own use. In this overgrowing cloud, we are not able to see what really matters.

CLIMATE
Just because of this prolonged lockdown we have seen a tremendous change in nature. From river water getting drinkable to air breathable, from animals chilling in so-called our zone to seeing the mountain cliff from home. All these are mesmerizing.
Why in this globalization world we forget the beauty and peace of nature? Are we going to adventure all this even after lockdown?

POOR
As the tremendous flow of migrants from one state to another especially Bihar forced me to google the population of Bihar. It's 9.9 crores. These figures are not surprising for me but became eye-opening when I googled other countries' populations. Like, take an example of South Korea their population is 5.6 crore. (Recently they hold the election in this pandemic with great care and we are figuring a way out for upcoming elections).
With this enormous population, with surging unemployment, the poor are bearing the brunt.
The coronavirus was landed in India, quite sophisticated, isn't it? But the people by no means of travel hit the worst.
Vizag also welcomed them in Red Zone. People falling one after another, carrying their children in their arms, just rushing for help are the first ones to get affected in the way of easing the lockdown.
From the stock of vegetables not reaching the markets to bread lie on the railway tracks are telling their story louder.

WOMEN
From the rising number of domestic violence to rapes. The violence is reported from all around the world. Every single day I found the rape news of minors printed with black letters on a piece of paper. How can they find the demon's desires?

We as human beings have always treated ourselves like a boss of this biodiversity and not a part of it and we changed almost everything for our own benefit. We are just a creature and a species on this planet, I don't know how long it will take to understand this simple thing.

It's not you

We all are home now, listening, and talking to our family members for more than a month. In this period we came to know about our family so well that some of their activities made us laugh and some irritated also. At the same time, we also came to know about the rising number of domestic violence, people filing for divorce, and breaking their longterm relationships.
Marianne Hester a Bristol University sociologist who studies abusive relationships said that domestic violence goes up whenever families spend more time together.

What's the reason

  • As human beings irrespective of our sex, we need attention. The problem starts when we become an attention seeker. In a simple way, for our own happiness turning to the people. And it can be in any form like if someone said good about us, someone praises us, we feel better but, in the absence of that, we become a vacuum. And just to keep the track we push the people.
  • Living in the same place for a long time without going out (especially in this pandemic world) creates anxiety and even a single fault and an argument has the capacity to fuel the person.
  • In this world, we live with rules and regulations. It can be of many forms, we have made a to-do list for each other like, you have to do this and that, don't talk to that person, lose your weight, behave yourself. Love becomes conditional, which ultimately sucks the energy of a person next to a so-called adviser.
  • We want a grip on the people which is in form like, do what I say.
Why do they do that?  I don't have an absolute reason for this. But the simple one can be like we want the person as a whole like a loaf of bread rather than freeing them.
  • Lack of self-awareness is the major problem causing reason according to me. We are not aware of our capabilities and their search used to be always outside.

What should be practiced
  • Be your own healer
Always look inside, I mean to say focus on yourself. The more you know yourself, the more you become aware of who you are and, what you want. That changes everything.

  • Do not hold
Never hold the person you are attached with or you are in love with. Let them go. Let them do whatever they want to. Boundaries kill.

  • Provide space
We all need space, our own private space. Even in this crowded world, we need this.
  • Respect with diversity
We all are different so do our opinions. So it's important to value them. Value their choices and value their thoughts.

  • Fill yourself first
Just like you can't pour water from the empty bottle in the same way you can't pour love from a dry heart.

Relationships are made by people and people by their thoughts so be aware of what you are thinking. Just be you and accept each other as they are.

(These are my personal views I would love to hear yours.)

People and the Lockdown

From the past 40 days, we are in lockdown. Packed in our houses and watching through the windows to have a relief in upcoming days. As we all know that now the lockdown is with us till 17th May and we also know that this virus is not going to give us goodbye soon.
The WHO norms that we all are following from months now it's time that we follow it in our day to day life with ease of lockdown.

Why lockdown should be eased

We a family of 1.3 billion members and are actually not on the same platform. There are so many members coming on road defying the lockdown to reach their home.

For them, the main killer is not the coronavirus but, the scarcity of food, which definitely going to eat them.
We all have come across the news of migrants walking barefoot and cycling towards their home and getting vaporized on their way.
The people with the roof on their head, 3times meal in a day, a proper tv connection, Netflix and prime will never understand what it means to be alone and living without food for days and ending up in dead bodies.
On the other hand, we know that if things go all planned only then we will have a vaccine till the end of September or maybe October. If from now we count the days it is approximately 4 months. So the concept of people being in the lockdown for the upcoming 4 months with minimum ease in some zones is not working according to me.
I have come across many of the images where there is a specific gap provided for the people who are standing in the queue for food and for buying their groceries and essential items. So in my view why not follow this way of normalization till we have a vaccine without lockdown.

Way Forward

  • We all have gone through the news regarding the allowance of only one person on bike and 2 on the car. So this should be practiced everywhere and every day.
  • Any kind of shopping with social distancing and with proper precautions.
  • There are so many videos going viral on the internet where people are getting married on streets and getting wishes from their loved ones through passing cars maintaining social distancing. It is the same for birthdays and recently bhangra joins them. Obviously, all these are happening outside India. We too need this kind of affection.
  • Manufacturing with proper machinery and precautions.
  • Our traffic system needs a facelift by using the signal lights to combating traffic with maintaining distancing by not allowing the crowds of cars and bikes to wait.
Creating a proper space for the employee working in corporate or in any other firm and in educational institutions for students and teachers.

Social distancing, masks, handwash, sanitizers are the new normals we have to practice in upcoming days starting from panchayats, not this prolong lockdown.
